Looking out the window...

I had a lot of comments on the "big trucks are cool" picture so I thought I'd add this one. This is another of my very favorite pictures--I wish the light was better but it's so hard to take a quick picture in front of a window! This is something that a person could see many times a day in our house. Whenever there is something going on out front, this is the first place these two go. It is just as cute from the outside too--two heads poking up, looking out the window. I haven't gotten out to take a picture from that angle yet, but it's so sweet it's almost heartbreaking!
Look at this close-up!

My Little Man
Our Easter Picture

Well this is as good as we could do to get a picture of all of us on Easter. I had to give the talk in sacrament today and Rylan was dressed in his easter sweater and shirt so we took the camera to church so that one of our friends could snap a shot of all of us together. Rylan was tired and didn't want to smile (or even look at the camera). This is the only picture that came out with him not crying. A member of the Branch Presidency had the bright idea to bribe him with a sucker. Then we were able to get his attention for about 2 seconds.
Easter Egg Hunt
Today when we got home from church, we ate dinner and then had an Easter Egg Hunt (Rylan's first!). Unfortunately, it was snowing outside!!! So we had a hunt in our front room. I wasn't sure if Rylan would be too into it but he seemed to have fun with the eggs and he really liked the chocolate (he takes after me). Seth's favorite part was the "gumbi bunny" and I couldn't stop cuddling with the stuffed bunny. Rylan really only cared about the eggs. We had a lot of fun showing Rylan what an easter egg hunt is!

Getting Started Early

Where's Rylan?
Big Trucks Are Cool

This last week we had to cut down the huge tree in our front yard. It was half way dead and only bloomed a little bit in the summer. It looked so horrible so we decided it was time to chop it down. It always makes me a little sad to chop down a tree...I know, I'm a little bit of a hippy. But I decided it would be better to get rid of this one and plant a new healthy tree this summer. When the guys came to take it down, Rylan and Abbie were so excited to sit by the door or window and just watch them. Every once in a while the men would stop and wave to Rylan. Luckily it was a pretty day out that day so I was able to leave the big door open so the two could watch out the storm door. When Rylan would get bored watching he'd go play for a minute and then go right back to check on the progress. The men did a wonderful job and although it is a little sad to see that big old tree gone now, I know better things are on the way.
