WONDERDOG!!!

Duh-dada-Duuhhhhh! Seth wanted to try and get a picture of Abbie jumping while she was in her turbo mode. It's a little blurry but it's amazing how high this little dog will jump! At least twice a day she will randomly go into what we have termed "turbo mode". She goes nuts and runs all over the house and jumps up on the couch, on you, or anywhere she can--over and over again. Then when she get's tired, she plops down somewhere and sleeps. So if you're ever at our house and see a white furball whiz by--that would be Abbie.

Seth with my camera...

Seth stole my camera again this week and this is my favorite picture from the ones he got. There were some other really good ones too, but I really loved this one because you can see his beautiful eyeslashes! --don't mind the dirty glass on the door, it's impossible to keep clean!

Looking out the window...

I had a lot of comments on the "big trucks are cool" picture so I thought I'd add this one. This is another of my very favorite pictures--I wish the light was better but it's so hard to take a quick picture in front of a window! This is something that a person could see many times a day in our house. Whenever there is something going on out front, this is the first place these two go. It is just as cute from the outside too--two heads poking up, looking out the window. I haven't gotten out to take a picture from that angle yet, but it's so sweet it's almost heartbreaking!

Look at this close-up!

I just had to post this picture. I was going through some of my old pictures to find family pictures for a little book I'm making for Rylan. I found this close-up I did of him when I first got my new lense for my camera. He's probably about 5 months old here. I love his long eye-lashes. It's hard to believe but they are even longer now! It's nearly impossible to get a picture of him anymore, let alone a close-up. He's always on the go!

My Little Man

Seth took this picture earlier this week while he was watching Rylan. I thought it turned out so sweet that I had to post it. I can never seem to get him to smile for the camera like this!

Our Easter Picture

Well this is as good as we could do to get a picture of all of us on Easter. I had to give the talk in sacrament today and Rylan was dressed in his easter sweater and shirt so we took the camera to church so that one of our friends could snap a shot of all of us together. Rylan was tired and didn't want to smile (or even look at the camera). This is the only picture that came out with him not crying. A member of the Branch Presidency had the bright idea to bribe him with a sucker. Then we were able to get his attention for about 2 seconds.

Easter Egg Hunt

Today when we got home from church, we ate dinner and then had an Easter Egg Hunt (Rylan's first!). Unfortunately, it was snowing outside!!! So we had a hunt in our front room. I wasn't sure if Rylan would be too into it but he seemed to have fun with the eggs and he really liked the chocolate (he takes after me). Seth's favorite part was the "gumbi bunny" and I couldn't stop cuddling with the stuffed bunny. Rylan really only cared about the eggs. We had a lot of fun showing Rylan what an easter egg hunt is!

Getting Started Early

Rylan will rarely let me use the computer while he's in the room with me. Whenever I get on the computer he wants "up". That would be fine if those little hands would stay put. Of course that's impossible with an active 1 year old. He loves to play with the keyboard and as you can see in the above picture, the mouse is a new cool toy to him. It won't be long before I'll be asking him for advice on how to do things on the computer. Scary!!

Where's Rylan?

Rylan loves to play hide and seek. There are a few spots he loves to burrow himself into (i.e. between the chair and the wall, the computer desk and the wall, etc.). All we have to say is "Where's Rylan" and he gets a big grin on his face and off he goes to find the nearest spot. He curls into a little ball and sticks his face into the corner. Then we'll repeat, "Where's Rylan?" And he'll pop up and laugh. It is so funny!

Big Trucks Are Cool

This last week we had to cut down the huge tree in our front yard. It was half way dead and only bloomed a little bit in the summer. It looked so horrible so we decided it was time to chop it down. It always makes me a little sad to chop down a tree...I know, I'm a little bit of a hippy. But I decided it would be better to get rid of this one and plant a new healthy tree this summer. When the guys came to take it down, Rylan and Abbie were so excited to sit by the door or window and just watch them. Every once in a while the men would stop and wave to Rylan. Luckily it was a pretty day out that day so I was able to leave the big door open so the two could watch out the storm door. When Rylan would get bored watching he'd go play for a minute and then go right back to check on the progress. The men did a wonderful job and although it is a little sad to see that big old tree gone now, I know better things are on the way.
