I'm the law...

So I was at Walmart the other day and I decided to go check out some cheap toys for our road trip to Yellowstone this year. While I was walking down one of the toy isles I saw this cowboy hat and I thought it was so stinkin' cute. I put it on Rylan and once I saw it on him, there was no way I could resist buying it. He wouldn't really wear it at first but then he grew to like it and now he feels so proud whenever he's wearing it. I haven't been able to get a super good picture of him wearing it but tonight I got a few pictures that were OK. I really liked his expression on his face in this one. It's like he's saying, "I'm the law around here...don't mess with me". Actually, his face in this picture kind of reminds me of my dad. Thought I'd share with everyone. Don't you think he'll look so cute walking around in Yellowstone with his cowboy hat on? I am so excited!!!

My Little Helper

As some of you may know, I'm in the process of "re-vamping" our kitchen. Seth installed a new floor, my dad helped us with new window and door casings, and baseboards, and I put up a chair rail and waiscoting. Right now I am working on putting up a backsplash and re-surfacing our drawers and cabinets. (I promise to post pictures when it's all done). The other day I was working on painting behind the cabinets to get them ready for the new cabinet fronts. Well, Rylan kept crying because he wanted to stand up on the chair and paint just like me. So when I took a break, I stood him on the chair (I was standing right there Keri--I promise!) and I gave him a clean roller. He kept "painting" the counter top and making "Vrrrmmm" noises. It was so cute, so I took a few pictures. I think that would have kept him busy for an hour!

Rylans Montage

Well I finally finished Rylans Montage of his first year. I have it set up at the top of the blog (I'm sure you didn't miss it). It's about 15 minutes long and I think it turned out really sweet. At least I can watch it over and over again! Make sure if you watch it that you turn the music for the blog off at the bottom of your screen. Let me know what you think!
